What a Thai transfer slip shows, and how to use it
1. What a transfer slip is
A transfer slip is the confirmation your banking or wallet app shows after you send money or pay by QR code. You can save it to your photos or share it with the person you paid.
PromptPay slips are transfer slips too. PromptPay lets you send money to a phone number or an ID card number, or pay a shop by scanning its QR code. A PromptPay payment made in a banking app gives you that bank’s usual slip.
2. What each line means
Layouts differ from bank to bank, but most slips show the same details.
| On the slip | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Status | That the payment went through |
| Date and time | When you paid. Your record should use this date. |
| Amount | How much you sent, in baht |
| Fee | Any fee for the transfer |
| From | Your name, your bank and part of your account number |
| To | The person or shop you paid, and their bank or PromptPay number |
| Reference number | The number that identifies this payment |
| QR code | The reference number and the bank that sent the money |
Slip Tracker reads these details from supported slips: the amount and any fee, the date and time, who paid and who got paid, their banks, and the reference number.
3. Where your slips are saved
If your banking app offers automatic saving, turn it on, and each slip goes to your photos. Otherwise, save the image or take a screenshot while the slip is open.
A slip someone sends you in a chat stays in the chat until you save it to your photos.
The date on the photo is the day the picture was saved, which may not be the day you paid. The date printed on the slip is the one that counts.
4. The QR code on a slip
Many Thai slips carry a QR code with details such as the reference number and the bank that sent the money. Slip Tracker reads those details from the code.
Reading the code does not prove that a payment is real or that money arrived. Slip Tracker never connects to a bank. To be sure money reached you, check your account in your own banking app.
5. Turn slips into a spending record
In Slip Tracker, open Add, then Scan slips, and select the slips you saved. The app fills in the amount, date and names, and gives each payment a category when it knows the shop.
It adds the slips it is sure of and marks anything uncertain Needs review. Compare those with the slip, then save. Slips already added are skipped.
It knows the slip layouts of K PLUS, SCB EASY, Krungthai NEXT, Bangkok Bank and TrueMoney Wallet. For other banks, it fills in only what it is sure of and asks you to check. See which Thai bank slips it reads.
On Android, it reads Thai and English text and the QR code on supported slips. When a name is written in Thai, it fills it in and asks you to check it against the slip.

6. Common questions
Does Slip Tracker check whether a slip is real?
No. It reads slips to record your spending. It never connects to a bank, so it cannot tell a real slip from a fake one. Check money you received in your own banking app.
Can I use a slip someone sent me in a chat?
Yes. Save it to your photos first, then select it in Slip Tracker. Check that it is saved as money in or money out.
What if I deleted the slip?
Add the payment by hand with its date and amount. It counts in your monthly total like any other payment.
