How to keep track of PromptPay spending
Updated 23 September 2026
1. Keep your slips
Your banking app shows a slip after each payment. If it can save slips to Photos by itself, turn that on. If not, save the slip or take a screenshot.
2. Read them in once a day
Open Slip Tracker and choose the day's slips from Photos. With photo access, it can find today's and yesterday's slips for you, or slips from dates you pick.
A daily reminder can help. It never shows amounts.
3. Check and save
Slip Tracker fills in the amount, date and shop. Check what it filled in, fix anything marked Needs review, then save. A slip you already saved is skipped, so the same slip is not counted twice.
4. Let shop names sort your spending
Known shops get a category by themselves. If you change a category, Slip Tracker can remember it for that shop next time.
5. Add cash by hand
Street food, markets and taxis are often paid in cash. Add those by hand, so your total is complete.
6. Look at your month
Home shows what you have spent this month, compared with the same days last month, and your top categories. Insights shows the highlights and every category and shop.
Want a number to aim for? Set a monthly spending guide, and Slip Tracker shows whether you are on track. It never stops a payment.
7. Common questions
Do I have to read slips every day?
No. If you miss a few days, choose the slips from those dates. Doing it daily just keeps each check short.
What about money coming in?
Once Slip Tracker knows which account is yours, it can tell spending from money in. You can also add money in by hand.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, for the main things. Reading slips, saving them and seeing your month all work offline.
How much does it cost?
It is free to start: 100 scans in your first 30 days, then 50 each month. Premium adds unlimited scans, month-by-month trends and more ways to export.
