Looking for a budget tracker for Thailand?
Updated 23 September 2026
1. What makes Thailand different
Every QR payment and bank transfer gives you a slip. Each slip already shows the amount, the date and who got paid. An app that reads those slips saves you from typing them in again.
Some spending is still cash, like street food or a market stall. You add that by hand, so your month stays complete.
Slips come in Thai or English, and amounts are in baht. Slip Tracker reads both languages, and it never asks for a bank login. It only reads the slips you choose.
2. How Slip Tracker works
- Choose your slips. Pick them from Photos, or let the app find today's and yesterday's slips for you.
- It reads them. Slip Tracker fills in the amount, date, time and names. It reads the slip's QR code too.
- Shops become categories. It knows over 1,000 Thai shops, each with a category. Change a category, and it can remember your choice for that shop.
- You check, then save. Anything the app is unsure of is marked Needs review, and you can edit any detail. A slip you already saved is skipped.
- See your month. Home shows what you spent this month and your top categories. Insights breaks it down by category and shop.
3. A monthly spending guide
Set a spending guide for the month. Choose an amount, or let the guide follow your usual spending. As your slips come in, Slip Tracker shows whether you are on track.
It is only a guide. It never stops a payment. The monthly guide is free. Premium adds guides for one category or one shop.
4. What is free
Slip Tracker is free to start. You get 100 scans in your first 30 days, then 50 each month. The monthly spending guide, highlights, category totals and a full JSON export are free. Your transactions are never locked.
Premium adds unlimited scans, month-by-month trends, more spending patterns, more than one account, guides by category and shop, iCloud backup, CSV, Excel and PDF export, and advanced filters. The App Store shows you the price in your own currency before you buy.
5. Is it right for you?
A good fit if
- you often pay by PromptPay or bank transfer,
- you use K PLUS, SCB EASY, Krungthai NEXT, Bangkok Bank or TrueMoney Wallet,
- you want to see your spending by category without typing every payment,
- you would rather not link a bank account.
Not a fit yet if
- you want your bank account to sync by itself. Slip Tracker never connects to a bank.
- you use Android. Android is coming soon.
- you want to scan paper receipts. It is made for payment slips.
- you want totals in another currency. Slip Tracker counts in baht.
