Slip Tracker
Terms of Use
1. Who provides Slip Tracker
Slip Tracker is provided by La Win Ko, an individual developer trading as Slip Tracker, referred to below as "we", "us", or "the developer". You can reach us by email at support@sliptracker.app.
2. Agreement, acceptance, and eligibility
Agreement and acceptance
These terms form an agreement between you and the developer. They apply when you download, install, or use the Slip Tracker application, and when you use this website.
By installing or using the application you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install or use the application, and delete it if you already have.
These terms sit alongside Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, the Standard EULA, which is published at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula and which applies to every application licensed through the App Store unless the developer has supplied a custom end user licence agreement. Where these terms and Apple's Standard EULA cover the same subject and cannot both be satisfied, Apple's Standard EULA prevails.
Our Privacy Notice explains how personal data is handled and forms part of your agreement with us.
Eligibility and legal capacity
You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in the country where you live. Slip Tracker is intended for adults.
If you are a minor, you may use the application only with the involvement and consent of the person holding parental power over you, to the extent required by the Civil and Commercial Code of Thailand or the equivalent law where you live. A purchase additionally requires an Apple Account, and Apple applies its own age requirements and Family Sharing controls.
3. What Slip Tracker is
Slip Tracker is a personal record-keeping application for iPhone. You select payment slip images from your own photo library, the application reads them on your device, you review and correct what it read, and it saves the result as a record you can browse by month, category, and merchant.
What it is not, stated plainly:
- It is not a bank, a payment service, or an e-wallet.
- It does not move money, and it cannot make or receive a payment.
- It does not log in to any bank or aggregate any bank account.
- It does not verify that a payment actually happened.
- It is not an accounting system or a tax filing tool.
4. App Store distribution, and Apple's role
App Store distribution
Slip Tracker is distributed exclusively through Apple's App Store. Your download, installation, updates, and any purchase are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions and any other Apple terms that apply to your Apple Account.
Availability may vary by App Store territory and may change. We do not distribute the application outside the App Store, and we are not responsible for any copy obtained anywhere else.
Relationship with Apple
These terms are between you and the developer only. Apple is not a party to them.
- The developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for the application and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the application.
- If the application fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price you paid for it, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the application, and any other claim, loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty is the developer's responsibility.
- The developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the application or your use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the application fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar law.
- The developer, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any third-party claim that the application or your use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
5. Your licence to use the application
Subject to these terms and to Apple's Standard EULA, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the application on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, as permitted by Apple's Usage Rules.
We do not sell the application to you. We licence it. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
6. Supported devices and operating systems
The application requires an iPhone running iOS 16 or later. Slip recognition uses Apple Vision, which needs iOS 16 or later.
The optional on-device summary features additionally require an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, with Apple Intelligence enabled and the on-device model available. Those requirements are set by Apple and may change. Where the requirement is not met, the application continues to work and calculates the same patterns without a model.
We may raise the minimum operating system version in a future release. If we do, the version you already installed will keep working on your device for as long as your device and Apple's platform allow, but it may stop receiving updates.
7. Your responsibilities
Using the application
- Keep your device, your passcode, and your Apple Account secure.
- Check what the application read from a slip before you rely on it. See the Your review of detected values section.
- Keep your own backups of anything you would be upset to lose. See Data-loss risks and Your own backups and exports.
- Only import slips that belong to you or that you are entitled to keep a record of.
- Use the application in a way that complies with the law where you are.
Lawful use
You must not use the application for any unlawful purpose, and you must not use it to process the personal or financial data of another person without a lawful basis for doing so.
Slips often contain another person's name and a partial account number. You are responsible for whether you are entitled to keep that record and for how you use it. The application keeps everything on your own device, which does not by itself make every use of the data lawful.
Photo permissions
The application reads photo library images only when you act. Either you select images in the standard iOS picker, in which case iOS provides only what you selected, or you grant photo library access so the application can list candidates from a time window you set.
You can change or withdraw photo library access at any time in iOS Settings. Withdrawing it does not stop you using the application, because you can still select slips yourself through the picker.
The application has no camera feature. It never opens the camera and never records audio.
8. Limits of slip recognition, and your review
Limits of slip recognition
Slip recognition is automated text recognition applied to an image. It is not perfect, and we do not represent that it is.
Recognition can be wrong or incomplete because:
- the image is blurred, cropped, rotated, dark, or low resolution,
- the bank or wallet uses a layout the application does not yet support,
- a bank changes the design of its slip,
- the slip is in a language or a script the templates do not cover,
- the image has been edited.
The application is deliberately built to hold back rather than guess. Where it is not confident, it flags the record for your review rather than saving it silently, and where a layout is unfamiliar it extracts conservatively and always routes the result to review.
We do not warrant that any detected value is correct, and you should not treat a detected value as verified until you have checked it.
Your review of detected values
Every field the application detects is presented to you and can be edited, before saving and afterwards. That includes the amount, the fee, the date and time, the parties, the banks, the account identity, the reference, the direction, the category, and any note.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the records you keep. Reviewing what the application read is part of using it.
9. Limits of on-device summaries
The optional summary features describe patterns found in records you have already reviewed. They are informational only.
- They are off by default and you choose whether to enable them.
- Availability depends on your device, your operating system, and your Apple Intelligence settings.
- They describe what your own records already say. They are not a forecast, not a guarantee, and not a statement about anything outside your records.
- A summary can be wrong, incomplete, or unhelpful. Your saved records remain the source of truth, and the application recomputes every number it shows from those records.
The application never states that an external payment is due, overdue, late, missed, unpaid, scheduled, or guaranteed, because it has no way of knowing any of that.
10. Not advice, and no bank affiliation
Not financial or professional advice
Slip Tracker is a record-keeping tool. Nothing in the application, on this website, or in any summary it produces is financial, investment, accounting, tax, legal, or banking advice, and none of it is a recommendation to take or avoid any action.
Your records are not a substitute for your bank statement, an official receipt, or an accountant. For anything that matters financially or legally, use your bank's own records and take professional advice.
No affiliation with banks or payment providers
Slip Tracker is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or certified by any bank, payment provider, or wallet operator, including any named in the application or on this website.
Bank and merchant names, marks, and logos belong to their respective owners. They appear only to identify the source of a slip you selected or a merchant you paid, which is nominative use and does not imply any relationship.
11. Local storage, and data-loss risks
Local storage
Your records are stored in an encrypted database on your own iPhone. There is no account, no server operated by us, and no automatic synchronisation between devices.
This is a deliberate design choice, and it has a consequence you should understand before you rely on the application: we cannot recover your data. We have no copy of it and no way to reach it.
Data-loss risks
Records held only on one device can be lost. This can happen if you:
- lose or damage the device, or it is stolen,
- delete the application, which removes everything it stored,
- use Delete all data inside the application,
- reset the device or restore it without a backup that includes the app data,
- experience a device or storage fault, or a failure of the operating system.
We take reasonable care in how the application writes and migrates data, but we cannot promise that data is never lost, and we do not make that promise. Keeping your own backup is the practical protection, and it is free.
12. Backups and exports
Optional iCloud backup
iCloud backup is an optional Premium feature and is off until you turn it on. When it is on, the application writes a backup file into your own iCloud account, at most once every twenty-four hours when the application opens or leaves the foreground, and you can also trigger a backup manually.
Automatic backup is best effort and is not guaranteed. It depends on iCloud being available, on you being signed in to iCloud with iCloud Drive enabled, on available storage, and on network conditions. A backup may be delayed or may fail, and the application will tell you when it has.
The file is stored in your iCloud account, under your control and Apple's terms. We have no access to it and cannot restore or delete it for you.
Your own backups and exports
A complete JSON export is free and always available in the application's settings, whether or not you subscribe. It contains every field the application holds, and you can restore from it.
We recommend exporting a backup regularly and keeping it somewhere you control. Once a file leaves the application through the iOS share sheet, where it goes and how it is protected is your responsibility.
13. Free and Premium features
Free features
The free tier includes:
- reading 100 slips in the first 30 days after installation, then 50 each month,
- every record you create, with no cap on how many you keep,
- manual entry of a transaction with no slip,
- review, editing, categories, merchant rules, and the monthly view,
- the whole-month spending guide,
- the complete JSON export and restore,
- app lock, biometric unlock, and daily reminders.
Reaching the free scan limit does not restrict access to records you already have. We may adjust the free allowance in a future release. Any reduction applies going forward and does not remove records you have already created.
Premium features
Premium adds:
- unlimited scans,
- bulk import,
- export as CSV, Excel, and a PDF statement,
- long-range trend analysis,
- multiple accounts,
- per category and per merchant spending guides,
- automatic backup to your own iCloud.
Premium is a convenience layer. It does not lock your own records, and the complete JSON export remains free.
If your subscription ends, the Premium features stop. Your records remain, and you can continue to view, edit, and export them under the free tier.
14. Subscriptions, renewal, and refunds
Subscription periods and price
Premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription in a monthly and a yearly period.
The price, the currency, and any introductory offer are shown by the App Store before you confirm the purchase, in your own currency, including any applicable tax. We publish no price on this website, because the App Store is the only authoritative source for what you will actually be charged. Apple may adjust prices between territories or over time, and Apple notifies you of a price increase in the way its rules require.
Automatic renewal
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it.
- Apple charges your Apple Account within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price then in effect for your subscription.
- Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You keep Premium until then.
- To stop renewing, cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
Managing and cancelling through Apple
Your subscription is managed by Apple, not by us. We cannot cancel it for you and we cannot see its status other than through the entitlement your own device reads.
To view, change, or cancel it: open the iOS Settings application, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Slip Tracker. You can also manage subscriptions from the App Store application.
Restore purchases
If you reinstall the application, move to a new iPhone, or Premium is not showing as active, use Restore purchases in the application's settings. It asks Apple, with the Apple Account signed in on that device, whether an active subscription exists.
A subscription belongs to the Apple Account that bought it. If you bought it with a different Apple Account, sign in with that one. If it was purchased through Family Sharing, the sharing settings for that purchase apply.
Refunds
Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own policy. We cannot issue a refund for an App Store purchase, because we never receive the payment.
To request one, use Apple's process at reportaproblem.apple.com, or contact Apple Support.
Nothing in these terms limits any refund or remedy you are entitled to under mandatory consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act B.E. 2522 (1979) of Thailand and any equivalent law where you live. Where such a law gives you a right to a remedy, that right applies regardless of what this section says. If you believe you are entitled to a remedy from us rather than from Apple, contact us and we will consider it in good faith.
15. Intellectual property
The application, this website, their design, source code, text, layout, icons, the Slip Tracker name, and the Slip Tracker mark belong to the developer or to the developer's licensors, and are protected by copyright and other laws.
Your records belong to you. We claim no ownership of the transaction data you create, and we could not use it in any case, because we never receive it.
The application includes open-source components used under their own licences, including the Hanken Grotesk and IBM Plex typefaces under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Those licences continue to apply to those components.
16. Prohibited use
You must not:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the application, except as Apple's Usage Rules allow,
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction,
- remove or alter any proprietary notice,
- attempt to defeat the subscription mechanism, the scan allowance, or any other technical restriction,
- use the application to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights,
- present the application, or output produced by it, as an official bank document, a verified receipt, or proof that a payment was made,
- use the application, this website, or their content to build or train a competing product.
17. Changes to the application, suspension, and termination
Maintenance and changes to the application
We may update the application to fix problems, improve it, support a new iOS version, or add and remove features. We may also stop offering the application.
If we discontinue it, we will give reasonable advance notice where we can, so you can export your records. Because your records are on your own device, discontinuing the application does not delete them, and an installed copy generally continues to work for as long as your device and Apple's platform allow.
We are not obliged to maintain any particular feature indefinitely. Where a change materially reduces what a paid subscription provides, we will give notice, and you may cancel through Apple.
Suspension and termination
You may end this agreement at any time by deleting the application from your device. Deleting it does not cancel a subscription, which you cancel through Apple as described in the Managing and cancelling through Apple section.
Because the application requires no account, we have no account to suspend. We may end the licence granted in the Your licence to use the application section if you materially breach these terms, in particular the Prohibited use section. Where we do, we will tell you why if we have a way to reach you, and the termination applies going forward.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination do survive it. That includes the sections on advice and bank affiliation, intellectual property, warranties, consumer law and liability, governing law and jurisdiction, and language and interpretation.
18. Third-party services
The application relies on services provided by Apple, including the App Store, StoreKit, iCloud Drive, Photos, Apple Vision, the Keychain, local notifications, and, where available, Apple Intelligence. Those services are governed by Apple's own terms, and their availability and behaviour are outside our control.
If you export a file and send it to another service, that service's own terms apply to it. We are not responsible for a third-party service, and a link on this website is not an endorsement.
19. Warranties, consumer law, and liability
Warranties
We provide the application with reasonable skill and care. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of defects, that every slip will be read correctly, or that every detected value will be accurate. Those are not promises any honest developer can make about automated recognition.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to the Consumer-law protections section, the application is otherwise provided as is and as available, and we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Consumer-law protections
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under mandatory consumer protection law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.
That includes the Consumer Protection Act B.E. 2522 (1979) and the Unfair Contract Terms Act B.E. 2540 (1997) of Thailand, and any equivalent law in the country where you live. If a provision of these terms conflicts with such a law, that provision applies only to the extent the law permits, and the rest of these terms continue to apply.
We also do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Limitation of liability
Subject to the Consumer-law protections section, and to the extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you started using the application,
- we are not liable for a financial decision you made in reliance on a record you did not verify,
- we are not liable for loss of data where you could reasonably have kept a backup and did not, given that a complete JSON export is free and always available,
- we are not liable for a failure or unavailability of Apple's services, or of your device.
Where we are liable, and to the extent the law permits a cap, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the application is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the application in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or THB 1,000.
This section does not limit any liability we cannot lawfully limit. See the Consumer-law protections section.
20. Governing law, jurisdiction, and severability
Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand, without regard to conflict of law rules.
If you are a consumer resident outside Thailand, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory provision of the law of the country where you habitually reside.
Jurisdiction
The courts of Thailand have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these terms.
If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, where the law of that country gives you that right, and we may bring proceedings against a consumer only in the courts of the country where that consumer lives, where the law so requires. There is no compulsory arbitration in these terms, and nothing here requires you to bring a claim in a foreign forum.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, it is severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions continue in full force. Where possible, the severed provision is read down so as to be valid and to reflect its original intent.
A failure by either party to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
21. Changes to these terms, contact, and language
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the application changes or when the law changes. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Changes apply going forward only and are never applied retroactively. Where a change materially affects your rights or a paid subscription, we will give reasonable notice before it takes effect, and continuing to use the application after that date means you accept the change. If you do not accept it, stop using the application and, if you subscribe, cancel through Apple.
Contact and complaints
Please contact us first. We would rather resolve a problem directly than have you take it anywhere else.
- Support
- support@sliptracker.app
- Privacy
- privacy@sliptracker.app
We aim to acknowledge a complaint within 7 days and to resolve it within 30 days.
If we cannot resolve it, a consumer in Thailand may contact the Office of the Consumer Protection Board at www.ocpb.go.th. For a data protection matter, see the complaints section of our Privacy Notice. For a billing or refund matter, contact Apple, as explained in the Refunds section.
Language and interpretation
These terms are published in English and in Thai. The two versions are intended to have the same meaning.
In the event of a conflict between them, the Thai version prevails for users resident in Thailand and for any matter governed by Thai law. Elsewhere the English version prevails.
Section headings are for convenience only. "Including" means including without limitation. These terms, together with the Privacy Notice and Apple's Standard EULA, are the entire agreement between you and us about the application, and they replace any earlier understanding about it.
