Expense Tracker for Expats in Thailand

1. Bank and PromptPay payments

Thai banking apps show a slip after each payment, including PromptPay payments. Save your slips to your photos, and Slip Tracker fills in the amount, the date and time, who you paid, and the reference number.

It knows the slips from K PLUS, SCB EASY, Krungthai NEXT, Bangkok Bank and TrueMoney Wallet. Other banks' slips may not be read yet. See which slips it reads.

2. The app in English

Slip Tracker uses your phone's language if it is English, Thai, Japanese, Korean, German or French. For any other language, it uses English. You can change it in Settings.

3. Slips with Thai writing

Many slips have Thai writing, such as a shop's or a person's name. On Android, the app reads the English writing and the QR code, but it can't read Thai writing yet. When a name is in Thai, the app asks you to check that slip, and you type the name.

On Android, slips in English work best. If you change a category, Slip Tracker can remember it for that shop next time.

4. Cash

Street food, markets and taxis are often paid in cash, and cash leaves no slip. Add those by hand, so your total is complete.

5. Totals in baht

Slip Tracker counts in baht and doesn't convert other currencies.

6. A month, for example

Here is a sample month on Android. Home shows what you spent so far this month, compared with the same days last month, and your top categories.

7. Changing phones

Your transactions are kept on your phone, not in an online account, and they don't move to a new phone by themselves. Before you switch, open Settings, then Backup & Restore, and tap Create backup file. Keep the file somewhere you can reach from the new phone.

On the new phone, install Slip Tracker, open Backup & Restore, and tap Restore from a file. With Premium, you can also export your spending as CSV, Excel or PDF.

Can I use Slip Tracker in English?
